Landing [Fic]

The plane that takes her to New Zealand to work on a quick solution to a new fungus that could devastate grain crops the world over belongs to one of the megafood corporations. Nore doesn't really care anymore than she cares which corporation is paying her outrageous fee as well as that of her colleague. The trip promises relief. Not just in getting away from the emotional quagmire she is poorly equipped to remove herself from, but in allowing her to spend time with someone who speaks the same language of living things with a similar fluency. Everything else is incidental.
