Flight [Fic]

The subway was a mistake. Well, it's always a mistake, but today it was particularly glaring. There were too many people too close together, and she can't believe she thought it would help. Diseases and different methods of treatment replace faces and sense of people as real living things, begging and burrowing into her skull until she has to remind herself to breath. The press of humanity just makes her feel less human. Even the glass wasn't cold enough to give her a reality check. When the door opens, she ducks out without checking the stop.
