She tells long term lovers that birth control isn't an issue because she can't have children while she's on her current birth control. She doesn't mention the real reason she went looking for something that permanent but removable in the first place. It's not their business. Nothing about the whole damned mess is anyone's business but hers. At least, that's what she believes. It goes so very well with her beliefs about why people don't need to know why she was so obsessively focused on research and development into ways to manage reproductive health and infertility options, after all.
